Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Troll Their Relationship in Super Bowl Ad

Have you ever wondered about Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's relationship, "Oh, how did that happen?" Have you ever wondered that? Apparently, so have they. The couple teamed up with their voice co-star Adam Levine for T-Mobile's Super Bowl LV ad, making fun of the surprising nature of their relationship.

In this hilarious clip, Stephanie is seen telling Levine via FaceTim that she is "ready to meet her man." However, because of the rocky connection, the terms of her relationship got a little bogged down, and Levine ended up setting up the No Doubt singer with a country star.

The ad even shows fans the two on their "first date" (spurs and all). This is proof that opposites can be attracted to each other, but not necessarily love at first sight. See the spot.

The commercial became one of the most memorable ads of the Big Game, and Twitter went wild for the couple's willingness to troll themselves. However, some found the premise a bit confusing. Is the ad claiming that the couple broke up (or were never together to begin with)? Or does it mean that if they want to find love, they shouldn't use T-Mobile?

For those who care, it seems the couple is still happily engaged (open in new tab); they started dating in 2015, have released several songs together since then, and spent most of the pandemic in isolation from each other.
