Emma Stone is about to become a mother; Us Weekly (opens in new tab) reported this evening that the actress is expecting her first child with husband Dave McCurry (opens in new tab). This is due to the publication of a photo (opens in new tab) of Stone out with friends.

"She looks very happy and very excited to be a mother. She seems very happy and very excited about being a mother. She has been keeping up with friends and work lately, is always active, and never misses her daily workout." Stone's due date has not been specified.

Stone and McCurry first began dating in October 2017 and became engaged in December 2019. Sources confirmed to People (opens in new tab) People (opens in new tab) that they had a quiet wedding in September 2020. The news comes after the two were spotted wearing gold rings in May, initially sparking (open in new tab) marriage rumors.

Stone spoke to Jennifer Lawrence for ELLE (open in new tab) in August 2018 about her desire to have a family in her 30s." I'm at peace," she said of reaching the milestone age. 'I've been very heavy the last few years, work-wise. Honestly, a lot of my dreams are personal and no longer professional."

She added, "As I got older, my perspective on kids changed. I never babysat or anything like that. When I was a teenager, I was like, I'm not getting married, I'm not having kids. Then as I got older, I really wanted to get married and have kids."
