Ryan Reynolds Shares Heartbreaking Message About His Family's Christmas Plans

This Christmas is going to be a low-key one for most of those who celebrate it, thanks to the COVID-19 craze, and Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's (open in new tab) holiday plans are no exception. In his Instagram story on Saturday, Reynolds revealed his daughters James, Inez, and Betty would not be seeing their extended family during the holidays, following official advice.

"My children will not see their grandparents this Christmas. They won't see their friends or aunts and uncles. It sucks," he wrote.

"My hat is off to so many others who are spending theirs the same way."

Last month, Reynolds opened up to Access Hollywood about being a "daddy of three girls" (opens in new tab). He said, "I have three daughters, and I never in a million years could have imagined that I'd be a dad of three girls. I come from an all-male family. I have three older brothers and I'm the youngest of four brothers. So to be blessed with three daughters is a real blessing. [Reynolds said of his daughters, "No kidding, they are the most talented people I know. If something crazy or scary happens in my life, they are the first people I turn to. They have wisdom and strength, and they are calm under fire."

Reynolds further explained how he and Lively continue to be there for their daughters while filming around the world. 'Just like I shoot movies and my wife shoots movies, we don't get separated, we travel all over the place and we all spend time together,' he said. I think that's the best part. I get to spend a lot of time with my girls."
