Prince Louis' childhood was different and more important than his siblings'.

Growing up as a member of a royal family is certainly not normal. Still, modern royals like Prince William and Kate Middleton (open in new tab) have tried to give their children as normal an education as possible. As for the Cambridge children, however, there is a significant difference in the way their childhoods are structured.

As Hello magazine (open in new tab) points out, Prince Louis (open in new tab) has had a very different upbringing from his older siblings Prince George (open in new tab) and Princess Charlotte (open in new tab). The biggest difference" is the environment in which they grew up. When George and Charlotte were young, Will and Kate spent most of their time at Anmer Hall, a country estate in Norfolk. Anmer Hall served as the couple's primary residence while William worked for the East Anglia Air Ambulance from 2013 to 2017.

In July 2017, however, William ended his service with the East Anglia Air Ambulance (open in new tab) and the Cambridge family moved full-time to Kensington Palace in London. Prince Louis was born less than a year later, in April 2018. This means that unlike his older siblings, Prince Louis grew up primarily in London and is a city boy at heart. Will and Kate (open in new tab) still spend many weekends and school vacations at their country home, reportedly quarantined during the coronavirus outbreak.
