Apparently Prince Harry and the Royal Family are already making plans to keep in touch over Christmas.

If your Christmas plans seem much different than usual this year, you are definitely not alone. While the Royal Family (open in new tab) usually gather at the Queen's residence in Sandringham (open in new tab) to celebrate Christmas (open in new tab), this year they will be celebrating (open in new tab) from separate locations due to a coronavirus outbreak.

The Queen and Prince Philip (open in new tab) announced earlier this month that they would celebrate the vacation quietly from Windsor Castle (open in new tab), for example. It is not yet known exactly where many of the royal family will celebrate, but Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and son Archie Harrison (open in new tab) will celebrate at their new home in Montecito, California (open in new tab).

The royals may not be able to be together in person, but they will still connect and celebrate the holidays together. A source explained to ET Online (opens in new tab) that plans are already in place for a socially distanced celebration.

"The family is planning zoom calls and games online since they won't be able to spend Christmas together at Sandringham as usual," a royal source told ET.

And while Harry and Meghan's relationship with the rest of the royal family (open in new tab) has been famously strained this year, sources say that is changing, and the Sussexes are definitely part of the Christmas plans.

"Everyone is on better terms and has been for quite some time. Relationships have improved and COVID has brought everyone closer together," the source explained.

"Harry was very concerned when his brother and father fell ill. As in any family, there were disagreements, but despite the tabloid coverage, the sibling bond remained intact."
