A recording of Tom Cruise reprimanding a crew member for breaking COVID-19 guidelines on the set of "Mission Impossible: 7" has been leaked, Variety (opens in new tab) reports. (opens in new tab) Cruise allegedly yelled at two crew members for standing too close together in front of a computer screen on the set of Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, England.
"If you ever do that again, you guys can go away," Cruise is heard yelling at the crew. 'We're the gold standard. We're the gold standard. We're the reason they're making movies in Hollywood. They believe in us. We're on the phone night after night with every studio, insurance company, and producer. We're creating thousands of jobs. I don't want to see it again. Never again!"
"I've been on the phone with every studio, insurance company, and producer.
Cruise, who reportedly imposed strict social distancing guidelines on the set of "Mission: Impossible/7," appears in the leaked audio to refuse to apologize to his crew and stresses the importance of keeping jobs in the struggling film industry. He said, "Tell that to the people who are losing their shitty homes because our industry is shutting down. They can't put food on the table or pay for their college education. I go to bed every night thinking about the future of our shitty film industry!" . Cruz exclaims. So, I'm sorry. So I've had enough apologies. I'm not going to shut down this fucking film industry! Do you understand?
Cruz then indicates certain members of the crew and reportedly says to the accuser, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. In the audio recording, Cruz continues Do you understand what I want? Because I will deal with your reasoning and if you can't be reasonable and I can't deal with your logic, you're fired. That's it. That's it. I trust that you are all here."
