Over the past week, Kate Middleton published the results of her "Five Big Questions About Under-Fives" survey (opens in new tab) on Instagram, revealing the British public's perception of early childhood development. And she repurposed a particularly noteworthy outfit in a video released Saturday. Kate was there to open the Treehouse in Ipswich, England, a new service run by the charity East Anglia Children's Hospices, She wore a royal blue double-breasted dress for the first time, and according to the Guardian (opens in new tab), she applauded the charity's "inspiring" work there and later told attendees she was "nervous to give a speech." Kate wears the dress for the first time in the photo above and again in the Instagram post below:
Another cute detail about the dress: 'Either Kate borrowed it from her mother, Carole Middleton, or she loved her mother's dress so much that she bought a copy for herself. According to a report in People, Kate's mother wore a Reiss dress on the last day of the 2010 Royal Ascot horse racing event, about two years before her daughter wore this dress. It's nice to know that even royalty can't resist rummaging through a mother-daughter closet.
