Chrissy Teigen reached another milestone in her recovery (open in new tab) after losing her son, Jack, in the second trimester (open in new tab) of her pregnancy at the end of September: after months of being unable to stand to shower, she took her first shower, Monday, November 30, Teigen celebrated her 35th birthday and showed off her accomplishment on her Instagram Story, wearing a floral robe and a towel in her hair.
"I took my first shower in two months. 'I couldn't stand to get in the shower, I've been in the tub for so long. 'I couldn't stand to get in the shower, so I kept taking baths.'
"Really, I feel great. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I feel so refreshed, so good."
Reflecting on his continued recovery, Teigen told his followers, "You guys have no idea. I can't wait." She then added, "I just realized you left me hanging the best. I'm so sorry, I'm sorry. I am just that it has been a ride, a journey, and I am happy to be back again."
[8Over the weekend, Teigen shared a candid post about grief and healing." When I am old and gray, I will look back on the last two months as having been a brutal, exhausting, sad, physically challenging, mentally painful bitch of a few months. But I refuse to find humor in both the fit and costume of anger," she writes.
"I already notice that the leaves look orange instead of gray, that the sky is indeed blue instead of black, and that I only kneel half the time when I honk the horn on my morning walks," she continued. And as long as I have the promise that John will dry me off, I can get out of the tub alone."
On Monday, husband John Legend celebrated Teigen's birthday with a touching post on his Instagram account, sharing a stunning photo of his wife of seven years. 'We celebrate my queen today,' he wrote. 'Happy birthday, my dear. My love for you is boundless and unconditional. Thank you for bringing so much light and love to our family and the world."
