Courteney Cox Recreates Turkey Dance from "Friends" for Thanksgiving

"Friends" fans have turned out to be a bit predictable over the years, inundating Courteney Cox with GIFs of Monica's iconic moment dancing for Chandler with a turkey on her head every Thanksgiving. Well, 2020 was the year Cox embraced her status as a "Thanksgiving symbol": in the best Instagram video, she recreated the scene from "The One With All the Thanksgivings," sticking her head inside the turkey and dancing for the camera once more.

"Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Have a wonderful day. I'm so thankful," Cox said at the beginning of the video, zooming in on her mouth and letting her anger rise a few notches. 'And if I get one more GIF of a turkey on my head dancing around like an idiot, I'm going to flip out. (Cox peeped out the invective, mindful of the delicate ears of the Internet.)

"Anyway, I'm the symbol of Thanksgiving, so there you go. Hope you're happy," she concludes. Then, as the Friends theme song plays, we cut to Cox dancing with a giant turkey on her head and, for the sake of accuracy, her sunglasses tucked into the bird. Drinking in Chaos:

For a quick compare and contrast, Friends (opens in new tab) co-star Jennifer Aniston (opens in new tab), herself and adorable new puppy, while Lisa Kudrow stayed completely offline (opens in new tab) celebrated Thanksgiving by sharing a sweet series of photos of Lord Chesterfield (see below). Three very different but equally valid energies from the women of Friends!
