Beyoncé nominated for 9 Grammy Awards, bringing her total to an astounding 79.
It doesn't need the Grammys to tell you that Beyoncé is the greatest artist of all time, but the Grammys are happy to prove it! According to The Hollywood Reporter (opens in new tab), Queen Bey became the most-nominated artist at the 2021 awards, with nine nominations. She was already the most-nominated female artist of all time, but she may extend that lead even further!
Bee has two songs nominated for Record of the Year: "Black Parade" and "Savage Remix" (the latter co-written with Megan Thee Stallion). Black Parade" is also nominated for Best Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, and Best R&B Performance, while "Savage Remix" is nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. The stunning visual album "Black is King" (open in new tab) is nominated for Best Music Film, and "Brown Skin Girl" could take home the trophy for Best Music Video.
Take a look at Beyonce's Grammy statistics (opens in new tab): she currently has the second most nominations of all time, tied with Paul McCartney, and her husband Jay-Z and Quincy Jones are tied for the lead with 80 nominations each (Jay-Z is also in the running this year for " Black Parade" and "Savage Remix" for writing the song, which received three nominations). According to The Hollywood Reporter, she only needs to win four more times to become the most awarded female artist in history. If she wins eight more times, she will become the most awarded artist in history. Considering that there is no one on earth who can beat Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter, let's get on with carving the trophy, shall we?
