Ciara opens up about her crippling pregnancy with her son, Winn.

News (Opens in new tab)At Sunday's American Music Awards, Ciara reflected on her painful pregnancy, how she was kept busy at the lockdown, and how she and husband Russell Wilson learned they were expecting Sweet Moments.
"Oh my gosh, I was pregnant earlier this year as well, so it was an adventure to say the least," Ciara told the AMA press room about her 2020 challenge.
"By the way, I found out I was pregnant this time last year while I was hosting a show. Both Russell and I found out when we got home, so there are a lot of special memories of being here.""From a creative standpoint," she continued, "I feel like I have no choice but to be creative because I'm within the same four walls every day.
"And being pregnant made me feel like time was really slowing down."
Ciara said that her pregnancy with Winn, which was born on July 23, was the "slowest" of her pregnancies, revealing the physical challenges she encountered and why she and Wilson used the time they were incarcerated to focus on their charitable work (for example, in March, they helped Seattle s Food Bank, where they donated one million meals. (opens in new tab)) "We were really trying to find a way to make an impact and give back. It's a blessing to be able to give back at a time like this when so much is being taken away from us. This pregnant woman needed something to help her mentally get through it."
"My body was in so much pain," Ciara continued, "I honestly thought I was going to need a cane at the end of my pregnancy."
"By the end I was penguin-walking around the house, but creativity helped me get through it and I was happy to go.
