John Legend and Chrissy Teigen talk about facing the death of their son.

John Legend spoke candidly to "Entertainment Tonight" (opens in new tab) about how he and Chrissy Teigen are coping with the grief of losing their son, Jack, who was stillborn in late September (opens in new tab). Asked how he can "keep pushing forward" in the midst of grief and "the state of the world," Legend replied, "Well, I think we have to." [Whenever we go through personal difficulties - and I think we do as a nation - I think we have to hold on to what makes us optimistic. We have to hold on to what makes us hopeful, what brings us joy. And in my family, in the midst of a tough year, we hold on to the fact that we have two beautiful children whom we love and who are beautiful reflections of ourselves and what we hold dear."

Legend also spoke of the support he and Teigen received after speaking of their grief. 'It was encouraging to receive so much love and support from so many people who had gone through similar experiences. What Chrissy shared is also helpful to others who are going through similar experiences or who may be going through the same thing in the future. So thank you."
