Katie Holmes Spotted Dining with Emilio Vitolo Jr. and His Father (Again!) | theWORLD

In exciting Hump Day news, Katie Holmes, Emilio Vitolo Jr. (open in new tab), and her father Emilio Vitolo Sr. were spotted dining outdoors at Emilio's Barato in Soho yesterday. The two were in September Their relationship was first reported when they were photographed (open in new tab) dating in New York City. Since then, the two have been engaged in PDA all over New York City (and I'm not complaining).

On this occasion, Katie wore black pants, a black crop tank top, jean overshirt, white sneakers, and a black face mask because the queen is concerned about the health of others.

This is not the first time Katie has met at least one of Emilio Jr.'s parents (open in new tab), but it is another step in the right direction! Especially after a close friend reported (opens in new tab) that Lourdes, the mother of the New York chef, was "furious about the way everything happened."

According to Page Six, "[Lourdes] thinks she raised him better than that," a source close to the family told the publication. She didn't like [Emilio's] response at all."

For those whose memories are hazy about how the two became acquainted, let's get this straight. A year and a half after Emilio Jr. became engaged to designer Rachel Emmons (open in new tab), there were numerous reports of two-shot photos of him and Katie circulating the Internet. In other words, not the best way to start a relationship. Katie and Emilio Jr. have not commented on the matter, and sources close to the couple say that his relationship with Rachel was already deteriorating before he and Katie started dating.

"He and his fiancée were taking it slow and not getting along," said another source, stressing that Katie was more his speed than Rachel.

"He likes older women. He used to date an older anchor on Fox, so he has a history with older women."

Here's to the happy couple! I hope your meal with Emilio Vitolo Sr. went well!
