New mom Ashley Graham opens up about postpartum sex
Nine months after welcoming her son Isaac with husband Justin Ervin, Ashley Graham opened up about her postpartum sex experience in a candid conversation with People (opens in new tab). Many women have asked me, "Were you afraid to have sex again?" I was asked. Many women asked me that, but I was not at all. I didn't because I knew that my vagina was made for having babies and pushing them out.
"Everything is still there, it all feels the same, the furniture has probably just been rearranged," she added.
Graham and Irvin have sex around Isaac's naps, the supermodel said. She explained, "With a newborn, he usually sleeps for a couple of hours, so we put Isaac in the bassinet on the other side of the room and start having sex."
Graham talked about how she and Irvin take time for their relationship as new parents and shared that Thursday is their date night. 'We go for walks, we go to dinner, we go for drives,' she said. 'It's a 24/7 Isaac thing, and we're both working parents now, so we need that extra time for ourselves that we used to always have.
"I feel like I'm a special working mom now," she continued. When it comes to organization, I have everything in my Mary Poppins bag, including a breast pump that looks like a mini-robot with me."
