Jessica Mulroney says she now knows who the "asshole" who pretended to be her friend is.

Jessica Mulroney (open in new tab) is looking on the bright side. The stylist and former TV host shared an update on her general mood and outlook on life on Instagram on Friday.

In a caption to a photo of her kissing her husband, Canadian TV host Ben Mulroney, Mulroney explained that she has found a silver lining to her difficult year.

"After a rough few months, we finally have something to celebrate. Thank you, ❤️ Benny, for being there for me. Thank you to all of our true friends for being there for us," she wrote. 'We never would have made it without you. The silver lining: we finally know the a**holes we thought were our friends. Best gift I ever got, Pardon my Manners ❤️"

In case you've forgotten, Marlony said earlier this year that black influencer Sasha Exeter (opens in new tab) was using her white privilege to try to get brands to stop working with her. She accused Marlony of putting herself in the middle of a major controversy (opens in new tab). After this scandal, Marlony was fired as host of the wedding-themed reality show "I Do Redo," and rumors (opens in new tab) that this caused a rift (opens in new tab) between her and longtime friend Meghan Markle (opens in new tab) The rumors flew.

Incidentally, Meghan is not on the list of "a-holes" who turned out to be fake friends. In a September Instagram Story post, Mulroney denied rumors (opens in new tab) that his friendship with Meghan had cracked.

"I'll say it once and for all. Meghan and I are family. She is the sweetest friend and looks out for me every day." Tabloid culture is atrocious. It creates lies and hurtful stories. Stop being part of it. I quit."
