John Legend is "in awe" of Chrissy Teigen's strength to overcome her "most difficult moments," he said in a touching tribute to his wife on Instagram, just over two weeks after the loss of Jack during Teigen's pregnancy. Legend shared a video of his performance at Wednesday's Billboard Music Awards dedicated to Teigen.

"This is for Chrissy. I love and cherish you and our family so much," Legend captioned the video. 'We have been through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows together. I was so touched and humbled to watch you carry our children in your arms. I am in awe of the strength you have shown in the most difficult moments. What an amazing gift to be able to bring life into this world. We have experienced the miracle, power, and joy of this gift and now feel deeply its essential fragility."

"I wrote this song because I believe that as long as we walk this earth, through every tear, through every ups and downs, through every trial, we will hold each other's hands," Legend continued. 'We made this promise on our wedding day seven years ago. Our love will never change. We will never be broken."

"Thank you to everyone who has sent prayers, sympathy, flowers, cards, words of comfort and empathy. We feel your love and support and appreciate it more than you know. Most of all, we have heard so many stories of so many other families going through this suffering, often in silence." It is a club that none of us want to be a part of, but it is comforting to know that we are not alone."
