Zoe Kravitz dressed as Catwoman on the set of "Batman," wearing patent leather from head to toe.
No casting has delighted me more in recent years than Zoe Kravitz, who plays Catwoman alongside Robert Pattinson, who plays the titular superhero in the upcoming "Batman." On Monday, Kravitz was photographed on a set in Liverpool, England, with Pattinson, John Turturro, and Colin Farrell (the latter as the Penguin, who is completely unrecognizable thanks to massive facial prosthetics), People reports (new tab). And Kravitz's costumes provide much-needed fashion inspiration for fall, winter, and frankly, all other seasons!
Dressed as Selina Kyle, perhaps Catwoman's alter ego, Kravitz wore head-to-toe black patent leather with a shiny belted trench coat, lace-up knee-high boots, and a dramatic fascinator. The cast appeared to be filming a funeral scene, but I want my loved ones to know that I will not accept anything less than this level of glamour when I am finally laid to rest.
In a February interview with Variety (opens in new tab), Kravitz shared her excitement about the role and literally everyone she knows." Usually when you get a job, the people who are excited about it are you, your parents, your agent, your friends, and the like. "But when the press release came out, I got more emails and phone calls than I did on my birthday or my wedding day. Suddenly, the reality of what this meant not only to me, but to everyone else culturally, and that the fans in this world are so passionate and opinionated, started to sink in." Zoe, if it helps, I have no doubt that you will make it.
