Gabrielle Union wears this season's trend with Miu Miu head-to-toe

Gabrielle Union can be counted on to provide the perfect ensemble. And her latest look may be one of her best yet! In a new Instagram post, Union wears a black crop top and high-waisted shorts with a plaid shirt jacket (or shacket) with crystal shoulder embellishments and brown track-sole boots to complete the look. The tags indicate that almost all of the outfits are Miu Miu, with the exception of the skims crop top.

Keen trend trackers will note that Union has incorporated two of this season's biggest trending styles into one outfit. Meanwhile, Keen Union trackers will note that this is the second stunning Miu Miu look in a week, as she wore a sheer embellished skirt with a long-sleeved black cardigan when she attended Miu Miu's latest runway show on Monday. A true style icon!

Union attended Marie Claire's Power On Summit, a networking extravaganza that went virtual this year, in this outfit. In a conversation with journalist Laura Ogunnaike (opens in new tab), who graced the cover of the October issue of Marie Claire (opens in new tab), Union said:

For now, no one can take anything from me, except my soul. So when I emptied that basket of shit, I thought to myself. I will always speak truth to power, always lead from the front, always set an example for myself. It's better to be authentic and complete and take the blows than to retreat into my shell and win a half-assed victory."

Union also took to Instagram on Thursday to express support for Proposition 16 (opens in new tab), which would overturn California's ban on affirmative action. In a video urging her followers to vote yes, she wrote, "The fight to dismantle institutional racism is on the ballot in California, where COVID-19 and the economic shutdown have devastated the black community, with the odds of being hospitalized or dying from COVID-19 five times higher. Black unemployment is at an all-time high and black businesses are struggling to survive."

"When we say that black lives matter, we must mean it," the Union continued.

"That is why I, along with everyone from Vice Presidential candidate and Senator Kamala Harris and Governor Gavin Newsom to the founders of the California NAACP and Black Lives Matter to the ACLU and the California State Teachers Union, are I am proud to do so."
