Jordyn Woods "in a very dark place" after Tristan Thompson scandal

Jordyn Woods opened up about the traumatic aftermath of Tristan Thompson's cheating scandal in 2019 during an appearance on the YouTube show Now with Natalie. In February 2019, Thompson kissed Woods, a close friend of the Kardashian-Jenner family. After news broke that he reportedly did, Khloe Kardashian ended her relationship with Thompson, and Woods' friendship with then best friend Kylie Jenner also came to an end. In an interview with host Nathalie Manuel Lee, Woods talked about the public humiliation that followed and how she began to recover.

"I remember sitting in a very dark place. I could have talked to my family, I could have talked to you, but I felt like I had no one," Woods said, People reports (opens in new tab). "For 10 years, everything I thought I knew, the people I thought I knew, the life I thought I knew, the upbringing I had, all of that was taken away from me by someone else. I didn't even know how to feel."

"I deleted everything from my phone. I didn't respond to anyone; I responded to maybe two people," she continued.

"I got rid of people I probably shouldn't have gotten rid of, but I just couldn't trust anyone. Everything in my life changed."

Woods said of how she began to recover by acknowledging what had happened between her and Thompson. "I looked at the situation and said, 'Okay, what did I do, what role did I play in this, how was I responsible, how can I take responsibility, how can I take responsibility for what happened? Things happen, and that's what makes us human. But just acceptance, accountability and responsibility." I feel like accountability is lacking in this generation, and if you can't accept what you've done or you can't accept it, there's no healing from that."

"I am not happy that people were hurt and had to go through what people went through," she continued. She continued, "It was hard for my family, other family members, friends, everyone, and I would never in a million years have negative feelings about doing something bad to someone I love. I wouldn't say I'm happy that something like that happened, but I am happy to be who I am today." [Woods, who lost his father in 2017, continued, " When you feel like your whole world is coming crashing down, everything you thought you knew, it really is to be rebuilt again, but much stronger."
