Meghan Markle Says Women Often Undervalue 'Skills and Assets' in SmartWorks Video Call

Can you believe that it has been (exactly) one full year since Meghan Markle launched her capsule collection (opens in new tab) with Smart Works, a British charity that provides interview outfits and coaching to women seeking to reenter society? On Saturday, September 12, Megan celebrated the anniversary by speaking with three Smart Works clients via video call.

The Duchess of Sussex spoke to clients Charlene, Kara, and Agnieszka about the importance of confidence, saying, "As women, we often forget our skills and assets.

Regarding the interview attire that Smart Works provides, Megan says, "All of that stuff is external, but it's the internal stuff that ultimately becomes the best accessory." And of the work guidance clients receive, she explained, "They don't point out things that don't exist; for the first time, they see what's inside you."

She added that "the best work is the work that you do on the inside, not the work that you do on the outside.
