If you spent more than five minutes on the Internet last summer, there's a 99.999999% chance you saw Katie Holmes' matching cashmere bra and cardigan. Now, ardent supporters of the "knitwear is sexy" argument will be pleased to know that Holmes has once again raised that flag: she wore a white knit corset top from Khaite while out and about in New York last week.

As reported by British Vogue (opens in new tab), Holmes wore a cream-colored Lucy top with dark blue jeans, simple white sneakers, a cream-colored knit tote, and the requisite black face mask. And inexplicably, although not cheap at $780, the top is still in stock in cream and black. I didn't think I wanted anything more than that cashmere matching set, but here we are!

Back to the aforementioned matching set: Holmes was interviewed by In Sytle (opens in new tab) earlier this year about how the viral kite outfit came about. 'Honestly, I wasn't feeling very sexy. I looked at it and said, 'That's sexy. I can do that! I can do it! I thought, 'I could sit by the fire in the cabin and wear a [matching] sweater over it. That's how my brain works. But I wouldn't be at the lodge, I wouldn't be going to the lodge. But I knew I could pull it off. Because I had noticed that other people were wearing blazers and bras."

Regarding the off-the-shoulder matching cardigans, Holmes said, "I didn't want to get in trouble with the teenagers! We were shopping at school and I was trying to hail a cab on Sixth Avenue. It looked way more glamorous than it actually was."
