Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Sign Huge Deal with Netflix

[Meghan Markle (opens in new tab) and Prince Harry have signed a multi-year deal with Netflix! If you weren't already hooked on the streaming platform, you will be now. According to the New York Times (opens in new tab), the couple will form an as yet unnamed production company that will produce documentaries, documentaries, feature films, scripted programs, and children's programming for Netflix. No details were given on how much the couple will be paid for the deal.

"Our focus is to create content that both informs and gives hope," the couple said in a statement." As new parents, creating inspiring family programming is also important to us." They added that Netflix's "unprecedented reach" will help them share impactful content that inspires action.

In fact, the couple is reportedly already developing an animated series focused on inspiring women! So I know what I'll be adding to my queue.

Ted Sarandos, co-CEO and chief content officer of Netflix, said in a statement, "We are incredibly proud that they have chosen Netflix as their creative home.

As for whether they will appear on some of the shows, it is possible. However, don't expect Markle to appear on any of the shows. She and many of her friends have made it clear that the duchess has no set plans to return to acting; in May, a friend told the Sunday Times' royal correspondent Katie Nicole that Meghan "has no plans to resume her life on screen."

Sadly, with little Archie (open in new tab) and his new life in California, we totally get it.
