Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had another name in mind for Archie Harrison.

It turns out that Archie wasn't always Archie! In the Sussex biography Finding Freedom, a friend of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tells authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand that the couple briefly considered other names for their little one (admittedly, pretty close); as Hello! reports (opens in new tab), Scobie and Durand write that Meghan and Harry "wanted something traditional, a strong name without a title." According to their unnamed friend, "They only thought of Archibald for one second ... He was always going to be little Archie."

Speaking of baby Sussex, last week Harry divulged one of his nicknames for Archie in a video call celebrating the 125th anniversary of rugby football league (opens in new tab). Talking about his plans to have Archie play rugby, he called his son "our little boy." Cute!

"Luckily, we have a little space outside, so we need to get [Archie] to play rugby league," he said. I think a lot of people haven't had that opportunity in the last five months."

"Our little guy is our top priority, but then our work is our second priority," the royal continued. 'We are just trying to do everything we can to do our part to make the world a better place.'
