Letitia Wright wrote a beautiful poem in memory of Chadwick Bozeman.
Letitia Wright posted a beautiful video on Instagram dedicated to Chadwick Boseman. As nature footage and clips of Wright and Boseman together play, she delivers a touching poem to her "brother." Wright, who played Shuri, Boseman's T'Challa's sister in Black Panther, calls Boseman an "angel on earth" and recalls the day they first met and their time together.
"I will never forget the day I met you," Wright says in the video. Before I boarded the plane to Los Angeles to meet you for the first time, God told me that you were my brother and that I was to love you as such. And I always have and always will.
"I knew we would have more time, more moments to laugh and tease you on set for years to come," she continued.
"When Ryan gave us the note, I leaned my head on your shoulder in the throne room. I thought this would go on forever. This hurts."All that is left for us now is to allow all the seeds you planted in the earth to grow and blossom and become even more beautiful," Wright concludes the poem. It is written that there is nothing new under the sun. But that morning, the sun stood still, refusing to shine. Dark clouds surround it, and confusion sets in. Tears flowing, deep rivers. I did not know that this was my awakening.... My brother, an earthly angel had departed. You were such a beautiful soul and so peaceful as you entered the room. You always moved with grace and ease. Every time I saw you, the world was a better place. Words cannot describe how I feel. Losing you has forced me to accept a new reality. I wish I could have said goodbye.
