More celebrity baby news in 2020! Latest Contributor Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn are expecting a baby girl. Sheeran shared the happy news on Instagram, where he also announced the name of the newly born Lyra Antarctica.

"Ello! I have some personal news to share with you all, so here's a quick message from me," Sheeran wrote after announcing her social media hiatus last December.

"Last week, with the help of an amazing birthing team, Cherry gave birth to a beautiful and healthy daughter, Lila Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.

"We love this child completely. Mom and baby are doing very well and we are on cloud nine. We ask that you respect our privacy for now." Lots of love and see you when it's time to come back, Ed x."

Childhood friends Sheeran and Seaborn have kept their relationship quite private - after announcing their engagement on Instagram in January 2018, Sheeran announced their engagement in July 2019 on iHeartRadio's interview with Charlamagne Tha God, and did not confirm their marriage until after the fact. Sheeran explained that he wrote lyrics (in his song "Remember The Name") that referred to Seaborn as his wife before they were actually married.

"At the time the song was released, I knew we were getting married," Sheeran said, according to CNN (opens in new tab). Someone will hear the song and think, "Oh, they're married!" I would think. I wasn't sure how that would be interpreted, but obviously it's already been made public."
