Happy news in the morning: Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have had their first child, a daughter! The new parents made the announcement via UNICEF's Instagram, sharing a black-and-white photo of them holding their daughter's tiny hand (note how well Perry's Daisy nail art looks on her). In their statement, they said, "We are filled with love and amazement at the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter." Daisy Dove is the younger sister of Bloom's son, Flynn, 9, whom Bloom had with the former Miranda Kerr.

Perry and Bloom urged their followers to celebrate Daisy Dove's birth by making a donation to UNICEF to help provide much-needed medical care to pregnant people and newborns around the world. We are the lucky ones, and we know that not everyone experiences a peaceful birth like ours. 'Communities around the world still lack health care workers, one pregnant woman or newborn baby dies every 11 seconds, and since COVID-19, more newborn lives are at risk as access to water, soap, vaccines, and disease-preventing medicines becomes more inadequate. As parents of newborns, this breaks our hearts and we empathize more than ever with struggling parents."

"As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know that UNICEF is on the ground doing whatever it takes to ensure that all expectant mothers have access to trained health workers and quality health care," Perry and Bloom said. 'In celebration of the hearts our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB's arrival.
