Chrissy Teigen buys up teachers' school supply lists on Twitter.

Before I get into this, let me state the very obvious. No teacher should be forced to create an Amazon wish list to obtain supplies for their students as a result of a chronically underfunded public school system. But that is the current reality, and Chrissy Teigen called on teachers on Sunday to send in their wish lists. She said, "If you are a teacher in need of school supplies for the upcoming school year, please send your amazon wish list here.

Teigen's tweet received over 5,000 replies, and many of her followers also funded supplies. "Today I cleared my entire list of 50 and countless extra items were purchased from lovely people just passing by," Teigen subsequently posted (opens in new tab). She continued, "I plan on doing more this week and will focus on districts that are struggling and need extra help. Keep posting on this thread!"

Teigen, who recently revealed her pregnancy in husband John Legend's new music video for "Wild" (opens in new tab), also revealed a school room set up in the family home in anticipation of children Luna and Miles' first school year at home."
