Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning a TV show about women's empowerment and racial equality

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (opens in new tab) are making the most of their new life in California and launching new careers in the entertainment industry (opens in new tab) According to the Mirror (opens in new tab), the Sussex couple, are actively marketing a series inspired by Princess Meghan's own experiences growing up biracial in Los Angeles.

"They are proposing a series that focuses on the empowerment of women and young girls in today's world," a source told The Mirror.

"It will also focus on racial issues, which has always been a passion of Meghan's. It will be quite political in its stance and will also portray feminism."

While the series will be inspired by Meghan's personal experiences (open in new tab), it will not be directly about her and Harry.

"They want the series to continue their vision of empowerment for young people," the source explained, adding that Harry and Meghan (opens in new tab) "will appear, but it's about 'normal' people, not them."

It is not yet clear which network or streaming service will work with the Sussexes on the new series, but a source told The Mirror that NBC is among the first to hear the pitch.
