Greta Gerwig has no intention of making a "Barbie" sequel right now.

[Barbie is not a movie. [Now people are flocking to movie theaters to see Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in action, buying bright pink clothes and accessories, raving about America Ferrera's performance, and making hilarious Barbie memes.

So naturally, people are so enamored with Barbie that they are beginning to demand a sequel. Sadly, however, director Greta Gerwig doesn't think she can make a sequel, at least not right now.

"At the moment, this is all I have. I feel like at the end of every movie, I can't come up with another idea, and I've done everything I ever wanted to do," Gerwig said in a recent interview with The New York Times (via E! News).

"I don't want to crush anybody else's dreams, but for me, at this moment, I'm completely zeroed in."

Nevertheless, as E! News reports, lead actress and producer Robbie previously told Time that she has had discussions about a possible sequel, albeit a very preliminary one.

She told the magazine, "It could go a million different ways from this point on. But I think if you try to prepare for the first film while planning for the sequel, you're going to fall into a bit of a trap."

Who knows? Robbie's friends were a little upset that he couldn't kiss Ryan Gosling in the movie, so maybe he'll get to do it in the sequel."

Still, given the existential consequences of the film, it seems unlikely. Only time and Hollywood will tell.
