Rihanna reveals powerful reason why she wanted to braid her sons' hair "right away."

Rihanna opened up about the powerful and personal reasons behind her decision to braid her young sons' hair "immediately". 'It's a form our ancestors protected us from,' she said. ' [This] reminds us of where we came from. This is our lost history. I immediately wanted my children to braid their hair... . because it's in our blood," according to an Instagram post from Vogue China celebrating this issue's cover story, "Braids were a 'channel' for Rihanna's "self-expression and creative experimentation." The caption reads, in part, "But becoming a mother and partner Asap Rocky's fascination with the subject, along with a deeper understanding of the history of braiding in different regions and ethnicities, has reconstructed the power of hair for the 36-year-old beauty mogul." .

Rihanna is the proud mom of two sons, RZA (22 months) and Riot (7 months), whom she shares with her partner, A$AP Rocky.

In an interview with British Vogue magazine in 2023, Rihanna opened up about motherhood and what parenthood brings to a person.

"Having a child, honestly, is about unleashing another side of your life, like being in a matrix with people who already have children. The fashion designer said that "everything changes when you have a baby," adding that it's "legendary" and "everything."

"I don't really remember my life before, it's the craziest thing ever," she continued.

"But the feelings, the desires, the things I enjoy, everything. It doesn't matter."

In the same Vogue China interview, Rihanna told editor-in-chief Margaret Chan that it was "the most beautiful thing" that children "come into this world with their own personality and integrity.

[12] "It's really a beautiful thing, and I want to continue to help them navigate that and make sure that they can be who they want to be. ...... They should fully embrace it. Because it's beautiful and unique."
