The Chanel Aquatic Makeup Collection is everything I want to wear this spring!

Chanel Beauty is synonymous with staples such as red lipstick, nude nails, and pretty blush. But in an effort to breathe new life into the spring beauty trend, the luxury house is breaking (or should we say diving?) out of tradition with the launch of an aquatic-inspired line for spring 2024.

Instead of having a single makeup artist serve as creative director, the brand has tapped three - Valentina Lee, Ammy Dramme, and Cecile Paravina - to lead the Comete Collective. These artists were responsible for pioneering an experimental era for Chanel while remaining true to the brand's classic style. To this end, Lee, who designed the first collection, incorporated a bold sense of color.

For inspiration, Lee turned to the colors of the sea. He said, "I remember when I was a child and I saw rain for the first time. Why are the oceans blue and the rivers green? In doing so, I discovered that water and light magically create color," she said in a press release. Thus, the color palette of Li's collection reflects the sparkle of seashells, the shimmer of sunlight on the ocean, the vibrant hues of coral, and the rich indigo of the deep sea.

Below you will find a mermaid-worthy bluish highlighter, a warm pink and orange eyeshadow palette, and an array of coral-colored lipsticks. Many of the collections are already sold out, so shop early.
