Orlando Bloom and Elijah Wood enjoy reunion with "The Hobbit" co-stars in "Lord of the Rings"

Fans are thrilled with a mini-reunion of some of the most beloved stars of "The Lord of the Rings."

On Friday, May 3, actor Dominic Monaghan posted a photo on Instagram of himself alongside former co-stars Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, and Billy Boyd, seemingly enjoying dinner, drinks, and (at least for fans) a long-awaited mini-reunion posted.

"Three hobbits and elves, and the conversation tonight was VAULTED," Boyd captioned the post. [The foursome posed for the camera, some with their arms crossed, smiling and raising their glasses in celebration. (Not to completely geek out, but how can you not celebrate after defeating Sauron and destroying the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom in the land of Mordor 20 years ago!)

In this beloved trilogy, first released theatrically in 2001, Bloom played Legolas the Elf, Wood played Frodo Baggins the Hobbit, Monaghan played Merry Brandybuck the Hobbit, and Boyd played Pippin Took the Hobbit.

Surprisingly, fans collectively panicked in the comments section.

"Guys, please podcast this dinner, I'd love to hear about LOTR," one fan wrote.

"Imagine going to work at a restaurant and having these four amazing guys at your table," another commented.

"There is something about a LoTR reunion that makes me feel warm and fuzzy," another fan posted.

"Always full of joy, happiness, friendship, and love. No one has any complaints with each other."

In addition to photos of the reunion, Monoghan also posted photos of his co-stars when the (much younger) foursome was busy filming the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

"I'll be in Voltron-like form this weekend at #liverpoolcomiccon," he captioned the post, referring to his appearance at the Liverpool Comic Con on May 4 and 5.

"Best photo ❤️," Bloom replied in the comments section.

"They are taking the Hobbit to Liverpool," a fan commented.

"Took me too long to realize this wasn't an early 00s boy band," another fan joked (honestly, same).

In 2016, Bloom shared another throwback photo of the "Lord of the Rings" cast on Instagram, which included Viggo Mortensen and the incomparable Sir Ian McKellen, who played Aragon and Gandalf respectively.

"tbt to when we all got tats cos we loved so much," Bloom captioned the post at the time.

"The friends we beat Sauron with will be with us forever.
