The royal brothers have been publicly estranged since 2019 after the release of Prince Harry's confessional memoir, Spare, and allegations that Prince William planted false and damaging stories about Meghan Markle in the British press.

As Us Weekly noted, Prince William "has never addressed the accusations."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle issued statements of support after Middleton announced that he had been diagnosed with unspecified cancer following scheduled abdominal surgery in January, following intense scrutiny and a litany of online conspiracy theories.

"We wish Kate and her family health and healing and hope they can do so personally and peacefully," the couple said in a statement to Us Weekly.

Another source told the magazine that Middleton's shocking diagnosis and ongoing preventive chemotherapy treatment "put things into perspective" for the Prince and Princess of Wales.

"They want a relationship with Meghan and Harry and don't want to carry the acrimonious relationship into the next generation," the source said. 'They want to mend things for the sake of their children.'

It is unclear whether Prince William and Prince Harry will mingle during the Duke of Sussex's upcoming trip, but it is definitely likely that Prince William will spend time with his father, King Charles.

According to Tatler, "Among other signs that their relationship is warming, onlookers are hoping that Prince Harry and the King will be able to spend some quality time together this week." King Charles and Prince Harry last met on February 5, shortly after the King announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer. However, the two reportedly met for only 30 minutes.
