Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, April 30, and they both look as happy as the day they met.

Hanks posted a gorgeous vacation selfie on Instagram to commemorate the day, saying, "1988? April 30," a big day. Wilson and Hanks became wife and husband 36 years! Nothing but love ever since... Hanks." The actor disabled the comment.

Meanwhile, Wilson posted a beautiful gallery of the two, totally in love, with the caption "36 years! April 30, 1988. Grow old with me. - Robert Browning."

The couple's famous friends fully supported the message, with Octavia Spencer writing, "Happy anniversary. May you all find this kind of love. !!!!!!"

Kristin Chenoweth declared them "the best couple ever."

They began their relationship as friends and co-stars, and their romance blossomed during the filming of the 1985 movie The Volunteer.

They married in 1988 and later had a son, Chester "Chet" (33), and a son, Truman (28).

Over the years, the actors have sweetly celebrated and shared their love with each other for the world to see. For example, Wilson celebrated Hanks' 65th birthday on Instagram with a photo of him cycling and the caption "Riding into 65 better than ever! Happy Birthday to the love of my life, Xox."
