Read MoreWhile Ryan Gosling promoted his 2023 film "Barbie" and received praise and recognition for his role as Ken, his partner Eva Mendes was infinitely more cooperative.
During a press tour in the UK for his new film, "The Fall Guy," which co-stars Emily Blunt and opens Friday, Gosling wore a T-shirt with a message that read, "Desi, Mami and the Never-End Worries, anyway. Mami and the Never-End Worries, Anyway"
is the name of Mendes' picture book, which will be released on September 17. People reported that Gosling wore the T-shirt in an interview with Hits Radio yesterday, and Mendes said of the upcoming book, "Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries is a love letter to my kids and yours " (Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries is a love letter to my kids and yours)," he told the publication.
Gosling and Mendes have been together since 2011 and have two daughters, 9-year-old Esmeralda and 8-year-old Amada.
"Learning how to train our brains to work for us and not against us is easier said than done," Mendes continued.
"I try to deal with the never-ending worries and anxieties that we all have, both in my house and in Desi's.Mendes turned 50 last month and seems happier than ever with the impending publication of his children's book. In addition to helping promote Mendes' book, Gosling "made her birthday very special," a source told People, "She seemed very comfortable turning 50. Ryan is constantly telling her how beautiful she is." [Eva and Ryan are] a really happy couple. They are very supportive of each other's passions. They also appreciate the financial freedom that their jobs give them, and they cherish their family time; they're both very good at balancing it all."
After a short pause, Mendes speaks honestly in a recent interview with Glamour magazine: "I don't get it. I don't have balance. I don't know what the word 'balance' means. It's a very honest answer, but every time I feel like I'm succeeding or excelling in one area, whatever it is, I feel like I'm lacking in the other area. I don't know how to balance it all out, and I don't know if there is such a thing as balance for me. Maybe I just need to stay unbalanced for a while. Maybe finding that is part of me." (15][16] Mendes recently opened up to say that it was "natural" for her to give up acting to prioritize raising her daughters. A source told People, "I think they've survived Hollywood as a couple because of the way they deal with being celebrities. 'They do their best to stay out of the spotlight. Their most important job is their daughters. Everything else is secondary."
Of Desi and Mami and the never-ending worry, "I didn't want to be another celebrity with a children's book," Mendes told Glamour. "There are so many great books by celebrities, so I thought, 'I don't want my book.' But then I said, 'Wait a minute, I actually have something to share. My kids have problems, and we're going through them together. I wanted to share my story as a mother about nighttime, about sleep, and about how the worries my kids have during the day are amplified at night. And I thought, 'If I'm going through this, there must be other moms who are going through the same thing. So I wanted to share my story."
