Sarah Michelle Gellar "would love to get a call" from Dolly Parton about reviving "Buffy

Sarah Michelle Gellar recently implied that if anyone could be persuaded to do a revival of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," it would be Dolly Parton, causing every millennial's ears to perk up.

"I mean, if Dolly Parton would call me, I could always take a call from the Queen," Geller told Us Weekly at the Front Row Fashion Awards in Los Angeles last week.

While this may all sound far-fetched, it's really not. Parton is not credited as a producer on the cult series and was, in her own words, "very involved" in its creation.

At the time (between 1997 and 2003), the country music legend was consulting on the show remotely from Nashville

as it was being filmed in Los Angeles.

"I couldn't meet them all, but I wanted them to know that I was there for them, that I was proud of them, and that they were doing a great job," she continued. She showed her appreciation by sending gifts to the actors, she revealed.

Parton also said, "I was so excited about the show. That little show was amazing."

Also in January, Parton told Business Insider that a "revamp" (pun intended) of Buffy was being considered. She said, "They're still working on it." They are looking at reviving it, revamping it," she said.

Geller's last film was the 2023 miniseries Wolf Pack, for which she served as producer on several episodes.

Otherwise, she co-founded the baking company Foodstirs several years ago, is a human mother, a dog mother, the wife of Freddie Prinze Jr. and an avid swift enthusiast.
