Blake Shelton explains why he "doesn't have to plan" his wife Gwen Stefani's celebration on Mother's Day.

Blake Shelton didn't feel much need to celebrate his wife Gwen Stefani on Mother's Day.

On Friday, May 10, Shelton attended Keep Memory Alive's 27th annual Power of Love Gala in Las Vegas, Nevada, and planned a Mother's Day in honor of Stefani... No, rather, he opened up about the lack thereof.

"You know, I don't have to do anything [for Mother's Day]. Because her boys are incredible," Shelton said at the time, People reported, referring to the three children, Kingston (17), Zuma (15), and Apollo (10), that Stephanie shares with former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale.

"They're, no, no. I've already thought about it. I'm going to make breakfast for her," Shelton added. 'I always back away and look at these girls. They do an incredible job of spoiling her."

Just because Stephanie's sons are rocking Mother's Day plans doesn't mean the proud husband will miss the opportunity to praise his wife.

"She's amazing. She's superwoman. I'm just now calming down, settling down, and taking this in. So I'm excited. I'm really excited," Shelton said of his wife, who was there to support her husband at the gala event after performing in the Bahamas just the night before.

"This is the most gorgeous thing I've ever done in my life.

In an interview with TODAY in 2023, Shelton opened up about co-parenting with Stephanie - they met on the set of The Voice and eventually married on July 3, 2021.

"I had in-laws. In a way, it's more difficult," he said at the time. 'But no matter what, they're always there if you need them.'

"Hello!" said that when Shelton first met Stephanie in 2014, "she was unlike any celebrity I had ever met."

"It was clear that she was a mother first and foremost in this world. That was what she did best." And now, standing here nearly 10 years after I first met her, I can say without a doubt that being a mother was the most important thing in her life."

"What is most gratifying for Gwen is that this all started with a song she wrote. Songwriting is something she loves to do. And she just happens to have an extraordinary talent for it."
