Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Nigeria after a brief reunion at London's Heathrow Airport on Thursday.

The Duchess of Sussex waited for Harry to join her in the VIP Windsor Suite, according to OK!

After getting some sleep on the overnight flight, the Sussexes have already begun the full itinerary of their visit, which was part of the "Invictus Games" 10th anniversary celebrations.

The couple will visit the Wright-Way Academy schools that participated in the games and will also meet with the country's Chief of Defense Staff on Friday, according to ABC News.

Harry and Meghan have several other events planned while in Nigeria, including two related to Nigeria: the Unconquered, a charity that works with the Invictus Games Foundation; the two will visit Abuja and Nigeria's former capital and current They will travel back and forth between Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria's former capital and current economic center.

The trip is especially meaningful to the couple because the Duchess recently discovered that she is 43 percent Nigerian. Nigeria is participating in the 2023 Invictus Games for the first time, and Harry joked at the time, "I wouldn't say we're playing favorites in our family, but since my wife turned out to be of Nigerian descent, this year is going to be a little more competitive."

The Sussexes' visit to Nigeria followed Harry's brief stay in England, where he attended a special service at St. Paul's Cathedral to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Harry was cheered when he arrived at St. Paul's Cathedral and received a warm welcome from the British public, but was "snubbed" by his father, King Charles, who refused to meet his youngest son, citing his busy schedule.
