King Charles hosts first garden party of the year at Buckingham Palace. King Charles and Queen Camilla officially kicked off the first garden party of 2024 at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, March 8. At the same time, a few miles away, the monarch's son, Prince Harry, is attending the Invictus Games 10th anniversary service at St. Paul's Cathedral. Earlier this week, a spokesman for Prince Harry admitted that Prince Charles was unable to meet his son during his visit to the UK due to his busy schedule.

"In response to numerous inquiries and ongoing speculation as to whether the Duke will meet his father while in the UK this week, unfortunately, due to His Majesty the King's packed program, he cannot," a spokesman for the Duke of Sussex told The Telegraph.

"The Duke, of course, is aware of his father's timetable and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon," the spokesman continued.

Prince Harry is also reportedly not spending time with his estranged brother Prince William. A source recently spoke exclusively for Us Weekly's latest cover story, saying that "the Duke and Duchess want to be super respectful of the Prince and Princess' requests for space and privacy," adding that they "do not want to add stress to the situation" following Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis.

"If Will and Kate want their space, Meghan and Harry will give it to them," the source added.

After it was announced that Prince Harry and King Charles would not be spending any time together during the Duke of Sussex's recent trip, royal expert Jenny Bond is OK with the idea that "their relationship is terminally damaged"!
