Travis Kells to star in Ryan Murphy's horror series for the first time

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has recently diversified his professional portfolio. and produced a documentary on Jean-Michel Basquiat, King Pleasure, among others, and co-hosts the podcast New Heights with his brother Jason.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Kels' casting on the upcoming show "Grotesquerie" with FX's Niecy Nash-Betz and Courtney B. Vance. Nash-Betz confirmed Kels' participation in the show in an Instagram video posted yesterday, but details are still scarce, and there is no word on what specific role Kels will play. However, a teaser video posted by Murphy in February featured Nash-Betz's "very upset voice about the crime scene."

In a clip released by Nash-Betts on social media, Kelce is wearing a white shirt and a big smile, revealing that he is "venturing into new territory." Murphy is no stranger to the horror genre, having created the "American Horror Story" series. Former reality star ("Catching Kelce!) ), Kelce continues to dip his toe into scripted projects, including hosting "Saturday Night Live" and producing the indie film "My Dead Friend Zoe," which premiered at SXSW in March. But this is truly new territory for one half of the world's most famous couple (Kels is dating a singer-songwriter whose name you may have heard, Taylor Swift).

Kells reposted the Nash-Betts video on his Instagram Story, tagging Nash-Betts and saying, "Stepping into a new world with one of the legends!" He showed his excitement by adding the caption, "I'm so excited to be a part of this.

According to Deadline, "Grotesquerie" will premiere in the fall, just in time for Kelce to return to the field (again) as the defending Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs.

"I like exciting things," he said. And sure enough, before I get back into football, I'm trying to jump into the entertainment world." But dabbling in the entertainment world is something I'm really interested in."
