Lily Allen has feuded with Elton John for years.

In a recent episode of her "Miss Me" podcast on BBC Sounds, she admitted that she was very angry with the "Rocket Man" singer.

"I used to be managed by Elton John. He would call me every couple of weeks and say, 'Hey,' and make sure I was okay." [She continued]." We broke up and I wrote this long letter to tell him how sad I was about the situation and how it had left a big Elton-shaped hole in my life."

John never responded to the letter, which angered and saddened Allen. [Over the next few years, as my life began to spiral out of control, I exposed my weakness in this letter and held a lot of resentment over the fact that I had told him all about my sobriety, and for several years I was quite angry with him. And I actually thought he was mean," she admitted.

While it is natural to be angry that someone didn't respond to a really hurtful letter, there is a twist to this particular story.

"Then when I moved to the US," Allen revealed with a laugh, "I was unpacking and found the letter." I didn't send it!"

She concluded her retelling by telling her old friend that she had no hard feelings.
