Fendi's first fragrance is designed for an obsession with fashion
While Carrie Bradshaw's sex and all items in the city closet are meticulously cataloged and by fans of the show over the last two decades, her fragrance collection is not so clear. (From an accidental screen grab, it appears that the countertop of her fictional West village contains a bottle of Joe Malone and Hermes.Bradshaw alone could have found the signature scent of the new designer perfume line that is falling today based on her handbag collection. The reason is partly inspired by Fendi's baguette, one of her favorite bags.1
Fendi has unveiled its first fragrance collection, a lineup of seven fragrances that the label says are inspired by members of the Fendi family and their recognizable leather bags. Each fragrance is housed in a refillable glass jar with an early sunset palette.
Aroma profiles range from a blend of fresh pink pepper and incense (called Perché No) to a "second skin" bergamot and orange blossom (called Siempre Mio). Perfumers Quentin Bisch, Fanny Bal and Ann Flipo collaborated with Fendi's artistic directors Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Delfina Deletres Fendi on their respective fragrances.
Silvia Venturini Fendi said that the collection expresses the brand's design code from a different perspective and uses leather, cotton and hardware as a highly concentrated fragrance note Mi "Today at Fendi we can immediately say that we have explored and used all senses," she said in a press release. It is said. (Samples were not available to test before Fendi's aromatic debut, but editors updated this post with an honest and detailed review as soon as possible.)
Fashion obsession is most likely drawn to Lavaget, a blend of French iris, Madagascar vanilla and leather. Even the high aroma is offered in bright and sunny shades that harmonize with Fendi's current assortment of baguette bags.
Recently, Fendi is best known in the fashion world for its leather products and accessories. That "accessorize now, ask questions later" spirit has been taken over by the launch of a fragrance that adds an upscale twist to its perfume storage. Shoppers can lean on one of the biggest accessory trends of the summer of 2024, with three scented sets with a studded top handle trunk coated in Fendi's interlocking F-print or a dainty perfume carrying case that clips to the handle of another bag.1 You can do it. These add-ons mean that Fendi fragrances are not supposed to sit on the shelves at home.
Fendi's debut perfume arrives amid the luxury fragrance boom. Other Milan and Paris fashion Week regulars are preparing to release their first-ever fragrance or re-enter the category after an extended pause. Bottega Veneta is expected to unveil its first perfume this fall, and Miu Miu will send the fragrance approved by Miuccia Prada to the market in 2024. Some long-awaited luxury scents have already hit the shelves, like the debut fragrance from Acne Studios, created in partnership with Frédéric Malle.
The launch of Fendi's fragrance is poised to have a significant impact on the perfume market. It's too early to predict whether they will revolutionize the industry, as the iconic baguette bag did for the purse, but a stylish start is certainly promising.
