Nicole Coughlin chose to be "very naked" in "Bridgerton" in response to "all the conversations surrounding my body

Actress Nicola Coughlan has revealed the real reason she decided to (almost) bare everything on screen for the hit Netflix show Bridgerton.

In a recent interview with the stylist, the star said she worked closely with the show's intimacy coordinator, Lizzie Talbot, before filming some of Bridgerton's sultry sex scenes.

"You go: "OK, what do I want to show?" What I don't want to show 'what is being scripted and what do I want to add?'She said. "I specifically asked to include specific lines and moments.

Coffran specifically stated that there was one scene where she was "very naked on camera," adding, "That was my idea and my choice."1

"It just felt like the biggest 'f***you' to all the conversations surrounding my body," she added. "It was incredibly empowering.

Coughlan continued to say that she "felt beautiful in that moment."

"I thought: "When I was 80 years old, I wanted to look back on this and remember how I looked!"

In an Instagram post first shared in 2022, the Delhi Girls actress opened up about people's seemingly endless opinions about her body and why she had enough of them.After deleting the instagram post, she was first shared in 2022.

"If you have an opinion about my body, don't share it with me," she posted at the time, as reported by HuffPo. "Most people are kind and don't try to be aggressive, but I'm just one real human being and about how it seems to be sent directly to you every day

"If you have an opinion about me, it's okay, I understand that being on TV and having things that people think and say,"Well, I'm not going to "I have to say," she continued in the post,"but I ask you not to send it to me directly.

In an earlier interview with the Irish Times, Coughlan said that despite all the outside noise and unnecessary comments about her body, she cares

"The body changes — when I lose weight, gain weight or do something, it's not anyone's business." "I don't know," she said at the time. "All I care about is having a good performance and being judged on it."
