John Legend explains how Chrissy Teigen became a Neck Brace
John Legend lifts the lid on why his wife Chrissy Teigen recently needed a neck brace.
"She broke her neck like an acrobat — she's not, you know," the "You All" singer told Entertainment Tonight during filming of Monday's live episode of The Voice. Sometimes she is bold and tries things."I think she might have seen too much of Luna [Stevens, their 8-year-old daughter] doing it like a real gymnast," she said. But she could try this and got in her head that it was not a good idea.
The voice coach reassured reporters.
The cookbook author posted a selfie on an instagram story featuring a neck brace with the caption, "@THE MET!"Last Monday, that's when the Met Gala happened. She followed it up with another selfie, "I tried to do a handstand."
Her "met" caption was a joke, but some fans said Moteigen straightened the record right away.
In a follow-up video, she says, "This is not why I'm not at the Met. I had never met this year. Please. I'm so stupid for doing this a thing. Sorry" (via page 6).
She continued, "It was just a CVS neckband and I couldn't rotate my neck because I tried to do a handstand and it didn't work at all. There is no story. i promise, that's all.
Teigen is famous for joking with fans on social media, and she is famous for being very vulnerable. The star not only regularly opens up about her family life, but also addresses grief, updates on her mental health, and her drinking journey.
