John Krasinski did not participate in the Office spin-off.

"For now, I'm not being asked," the actor told Entertainment Tonight at the New York premiere of his movie IF. "But the truth is that I'll do anything for Greg Daniels, it sounds like they have a really fun idea.

Daniels is the executive producer of the original office, where Krasinski will star as Jim Halpert and will also produce the next spin-off.

"I actually work with Domhnall Gleeson in Guy Ritchie's film," Krasinski added. "He's so good, so sweet — he's going to crush on the show."

Gleason, who you might know from the devastating Richard Curtis movie about Time, has been confirmed as one of the show's leads, along with Sabrina Impacciatore, who played the unsympathetic hotel manager in White Lotus Season 2.

Meanwhile, Steve Carell (IF and Krasinski's co-star in the original office) told et that he would not participate in the new show, but would wait for the "great" Gleeson to take on the role.

Last week, Variety reported that the new office had been picked up by Peacock.

The concept of the show is summarized as follows: "The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin's Scranton chapter is looking for a new subject when they discover a dying historical Midwestern newspaper and a publisher trying to revive it with a volunteer reporter."

Production will reportedly start in March and a future release date has not yet been confirmed.
