Meghan Markle had neither a stylist nor a glam team for her recent tour of Nigeria, says her longtime make・up artist Daniel Martin.

All eyes were on this weekend as Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry visited Nigeria and made their first international tour since returning as a working member of the Royal Family in 2020. Her fashion ranges from a "Windsor" style peach maxi dress (which we consider intriguing) to a minimalist white suit to her late mother・in-law, Princess Diana and, according to Daniel Martin, Meghan's longtime make-up artist, Meghan chose to wear her own dress while in Nigeria. The Duchess of Sussex added that she was "very good" at making her own charms, he said. (When she and Harry were in Düsseldorf, Germany, for the Invictus games on May 9 last year, she also apparently did her own hair and makeup.

"When I'm not with her, I feel like she has more room to play," Martin said. "I think it's fun when you look at her, like she's in Nigeria now. It's just her. There are no stylists or hairdressers. She's doing everything by herself, and she's so good at it."

Martin— Meghan's wedding charm was made when she married Harry 6 years ago this month, on May 19, 2018— to trade some of his famous clients and friends "she loves cheeks." She loves big eyebrows. But Harry prefers it when his wife doesn't wear "anything" on her face, Martin said.

It's been a while since Martin worked with Meghan — in fact, it was almost 2 years when Meghan was "in New York," he said. That said, they continue to "stay in touch all the time," and Martin approves that she's doing it all herself. "She's very good at making her own face," he said. "She is her own person. It's so nice."

As May 19 approached within a week, Martin reflected on working with Meghan with her minimal make-up for her wedding, where her glam matched her minimalist Givenchy gown designed by Clare Waight Keller.

"It was an interesting point in my career because it took it completely," Martin said. "私もそう思いますwas...at At that time [when] Instagram makeup was just beginning to kind of. Everyone was doing Instagram live [and] was all about a complete breakdown. And such a big moment of the year — the bride appeared and did not wear anything, and I was dragged."

In the end, Martin didn't say that Harry preferred not to attach "anything" to Meghan's face, ""They came for me, but at the same time," Oh," that's when you started to see someone because of who they are, not the actual wedding pomp and circumstance." It was a good idea.”
