Glen Powell is not "chasing" love, but he is not open to it.

Top Gun: The Maverick actor spoke to Gail King on CBS morning last week, and of course the subject of his love life came out because he is such a heartbeat.Powell explained that finding a partner is not his priority for now, mainly because of where his career is.

"Life is moving so fast right now that I don't even know if I can take someone in a healthy way even if I try," he explains,

"I'm not chasing love. If love comes and hits me in the face and knocks me, that's what I really want, so I welcome it with open arms," Powell continued, adding that family is really important to him.

"Even if I'm just with my niece and nephew today, I really want a child, I really want that stage of life," he said. "It's not far away, and at the same time, I realize that it's going to take a very specific type of person to navigate this."" It's a lot.

The hitman star further explained that it was complicated for significant others to fit in now in the life of his fast-moving actor.

"It's a lot," he said. "I realized that there are new aspects and new complexities in this life and this work that I didn't understand. So take someone to it, make them feel comfortable, make them feel like they've seen, and make them feel loved when so many elements around them can really eat with someone's confidence or value, or any of those things. I'm not hoping that someone has signed up for that if they're not ready for it."

Powell's last relationship (at least we know) was with model Gigi Paris. They dated between 2020 and 2023, and if 1 source should be believed, Powell's fast-moving career drove a wedge between them towards the end.

"Gigi and Glenn broke up several times," a source told people in early 2023. "They've been on the rocks since the top gun came out. Gigi wasn't happy with the long-distance shooting and when she came to Australia [where Powell was filming anyone but Sydney Sweeney and you] they both decided to break up for good.

While they were filming the Romcom, there were rumors of an affair between Powell and Sweeney - rumors the two got back for a laugh (and, well, a little publicity). But, as you know, the rumors are completely unfounded, and Sweeney is happily engaged to her partner Jonathan Davino.
