The Duke and Duchess of Westminster have released 4 official wedding photos in honor of the recent high society wedding.
On Saturday, 6 May 8, Newlyweds Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson shared 3 black-and-white and 1-color photos of their wedding day, a must-see event along with a statement expressing their joy as well as their gratitude for people who made their wedding as special.
"We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us yesterday and special thanks to the people of Chester for making our day so memorable" We were incredibly moved by everyone's amazing support and warm wishes.
Lead Photographers Benjamin Wheeler and Holly Clark - the photography team of Photography also posted four wedding photos on Instagram that showed the bride and groom in all their wedding glory.
"We very much congratulate Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, and Olivia Henson on getting married at Chester Cathedral yesterday," Wheeler captioned the post. The bride wore a beautiful bespoke creation by @emmavictoriapaynebridalĂș.
The Duchess walked down the aisle in a breathtaking Emma Victoria Payne design, featuring threeâquarter-length sleeves and a bateau neckline at the front, and dramatic, Fit
Henson also wore a Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara - a very long dress that has belonged to her now husband's family since 1906. The meaningful "borrowed something" was especially for Grosvenor's bride to wear the aisle
attended by at least 400 guests, including Prince William and Princess Eugenie.
Prince William missed the pre-wedding rehearsal, but he was able to arrive in time for the wedding in a separate sprinter van. The Whale prince entered the cathedral through the side entrance and served as a guide during the ceremony.
It was confirmed that Prince Harry was invited to the wedding, but he did not attend the wedding of his best friend. The Duke of Westminster is the Godfather of both Prince George and Prince Archie, but the Duke of Sussex and Grosvenor reportedly came to an "understanding between 2 friends" and concluded that it was best for Prince Harry not to attend the event, given the ongoing tensions between the 2 royal brothers.
Before the wedding, the Duke of Westminster reportedly wanted Prince Harry and Prince William to be able to "put their heads together and fix things," but he understood that at best it was not, and thought it would be desirable to avoid awkward tensions.
"He doesn't want awkwardness because he wanted to avoid anything that would cast a shadow on the day, especially for Olivia," a source at the time told the Daily Mail.
Liz Jones, a British journalist and royal expert, wrote in the Daily Mail that the wedding was an ideal time for 2 brothers to bury the proverbial hatchet, adding that such a celebration was a time for "family and friends" to "put aside differences and quarrels and find ways to smile and raise their faces." It's a great way to make your life easier and more enjoyable.
"It was so disappointing and the opportunity was lost," she added. "The front page pictures of William and Harry are suitable and slapping each other on the back brings a national sigh of relief after so many difficult years"
