David Duchovny says "I wanted to do more" about "sex and the city
X-Files star David Duchovny wishes his short stint on the HBO show that hit Sex and the City has never been so easy.
In a recent exclusive interview with People, Duchovny waxed nostalgic about his cameo appearance in the iconic series during Season 6, Episode 10, aptly titled "Boy Interrupted."

Carrie tries to rekindle the romance in a true Carrie way but eventually Duchovny's character is forced to rekindle the romance while he is being treated. Make the executive's decision that the pair is best to go in a separate way.
"We were talking about doing more, but we didn't end up doing it," Duchovny told the publication when discussing the possibility of extending the story line of his character so that he could play a more regular role in the series.
"I would have wanted to do that show more," he added.
Duchovny praised the city girlfriend with his simple, on-screen sex and told the publication that the pair had an "immediate, easy working rhythm."
"I loved working with Sarah," he explained.
Sarah Jessica Parker's character, Carrie, certainly had her fair share of unwanted dating prospects throughout the show's history-making 6 while fans have ranked the gentlemen of Carrie's life from best to worst over the years, Parker himself has been one of Carrie's best friends. "I loved working with Minnie. She has a big heart and it goes to her work," he recalled at the time. "I think she's very funny, very talented and not very used.
The actor also dished about what it would be like to work with Meg Ryan in a 2023 romantic comedy.
"On the first night of filming, I did a take, and I remember just thinking, "Oh, yeah, Meg Ryan is so charming,"" he said. "I will not say it lightly. I'm in the deepest sense of just like: "Well, she's pulling me into orbit here."I have it, I have it, I’”
