Iskra Lawrence shares 'disbelief' in the rampant 'fat shame' she experienced after walking down the runway during pregnancy
Iskra Lawrence tells body shamers where to go.
The supermodel recently walked the runway for beachwear brand Cupshe at Miami Swim Week during pregnancy, and then a barrage of nasty comments online
But Lawrence wasn't trying to make these horrible words her best: she instead said, "I love you." She posted a collage on Instagram of some of the worst things superimposed on her photos that look absolutely stunning on the catwalk. With the caption, "Don't I still believe that fat and shame on pregnant women in 2024 (and with everything going on in the world) seemed to make the most of your time?"To make the most of your time, did I seem to make the most of your time?To make the most of your time, I used instagram to make the most of your time."
Thankfully, the model's corner of the Internet is obviously a much more positive thing overall, and her friends and fans support her message
Fellow supermodel Elsa Hosk said, "Literally, think of looking at these beautiful pictures and reading these distressing comments." You have to be on the runway more and more of you have to be on the runway more and more of you have to be on the runway more and more of you are on the runway.. These terrible comments and thoughts are things that are not as normal and not beautiful as if the people writing this I will never understand are ok. Body shame is so real. I think we have to keep showing ourselves exactly the way we want, and they can all poke it and be quiet and miserable."

Meanwhile, female-centric tech brand Elvie says, "They're sitting behind a computer commenting on your body while you're growing your life on the catwalk, there's no need for a comeback when you're already playing the ultimate power movement.".. You look incredible Mom"
Lawrence's work with Cupshe is back since launching a collaboration collection with the brand on May 2.
Lawrence was expecting a baby girl with her partner Philip Payne and confirmed her pregnancy on May 4. She and Payne already share son Alpha, 4.
